Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the
"Contacts: Phone Calls & Dialer" ("the App", "we",
"us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your
information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Information
When you use our App, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage:
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Network Information: Network connection status and type (WiFi, cellular data).
- App Usage Data: Features accessed, session duration, and crash reports.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the core features of the dialer and contacts app.
- Display your contacts, call logs, and call screen.
- Allow you to make, receive, and manage phone calls.
- Improve user experience through anonymous analytics and performance monitoring.
Our App requires the following permissions to function properly:
- Contacts (READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS): This permission is essential for the app's primary function. It allows us to display your contact list, create new contacts, and edit existing ones directly within the app.
- Phone and Call Logs (READ_PHONE_STATE, CALL_PHONE, READ_CALL_LOG, WRITE_CALL_LOG, ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS, MANAGE_OWN_CALLS): These permissions enable the full dialer experience. They are used to make and receive phone calls, view your call history, and manage ongoing calls. We need to identify call states to provide features like an after-call screen.
- Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): This permission is requested only on devices running Android 12 (API 32) or older. It may be used to access storage for features like assigning custom wallpaper to the calling screen.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): We use this to send you important notifications, such as for missed calls or ongoing call status.
- System Display and Interaction (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT, DISABLE_KEYGUARD, SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): These permissions are critical for displaying the incoming call screen, especially when your device is locked or you are using another application. This ensures you can always answer calls seamlessly.
- INTERNET: May be used for displaying ads or collecting anonymous analytics to help us improve the app.
- WAKE_LOCK: Prevents the phone from sleeping during a call to ensure an uninterrupted experience.
- VIBRATE: Provides haptic feedback during calls or for notifications.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your personal and sensitive data, including contacts and call logs, are stored securely on your device. We do not transmit this information to our servers or any third party. We take reasonable measures to protect the information within our app.
